In a Chunks and Chips assortment, you will receive a variety of colors, sizes, and shapes.  Your order will contain predominately translucent pieces with some colored stones included to give you some variety.  Pieces in the Chunks and Chips assortment will average 2-3 inches long. 

 

This small point was knapped from a piece that is representative of the pieces that are included in a Chunks & Chips assortment.

 

These heat treated spalls represent some of the fancier, heavily sought after 
colors that occur in Arkansas Translucent Novaculite.  Colors as represented in these photos are very rare in their occurrence and combination--and are not likely to show up in any large amounts in assortments.

These photos show a representation of what the stone looked like before and after knapping.  A knapper can choose a piece of material and plan his product according to what the stone shows at the beginning.  The actual results will begin to appear while knapping.  Sometimes materials can hide real inner beauty that is  only revealed in the finished product.
